I'm trying to add a right arrow, Unicode 2192. It keeps coming out as a capital E with a backwards accent symbol. which is Unicode 00C9. What is the correct number for the right arrow? How, exactly, is someone supposed to enter the Unicode letter using the number pad?
Hi John,
U+2192 is correct code for right arrow. If you are using windows system, you can open Character Map, select right arrow, and click the Copy button (refer screenshot below) and paste it on your confluence page.

The character map is not in the editor, but is a utility included in the OS.
Refer this link on how to open and use it on windows system.
On Mac, you can press control + command + space to open Character Viewer, from where you can copy the symbols.
