Hello folks,
I'm having distinct interpretations from different people over this Atlassian statement: "Guests are free of charge (up to 5 guests per paid user). Total number of users (paid + guests) can't exceed the current Confluence site user limit.
So, what is the correct intake about the limit for guest users?
If I have 50 users taken from 100 paid licenses that means I can only have 50 guests? Meaning I cannot exceed the paid users limit.
Or if I have 50 users taken from 100 paid licenses that mean I still can have up to 50.000 guests? Meaning I cannot exceed the site user limit ie 50,000 for a premium site.
Hi @Raphael Teodoro - If you look at the statement you copied above, there is a link on the words "user limit". That link takes you here where it states the user limit for the free plan is 10 so you cannot exceed 10 users paid + guests. With that said, you can have 2 users and each of those have 5 guests and that is 10 users so that would be fine.
If you upgrade to the Standard plan you get seats for up to 50,000 users but you only pay for users or the user tier that you have. In this case using your example above, If you have users taken from 100 paid licenses, you can still have 5 guests per paid user, but cannot exceed 100 users total.
Here is some more information and the source of the statement you typed above: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/invite-guests-for-external-collaboration/
@Summer Hogan I take this statement to mean that you can't exceed the total users allowed for your plan.
In your Standard plan example, I would think that, if you are paying for 100 licenses, you can have:
