What happens to the Confluence documents a user created if they are deactivated?

What needs to be done with Confluence documents that a a user created that has left the organization and needs to have their account deactivated?

You do not need to do anything with the documents but be aware that if you delete the user all reference to that user will be replaced by "Former User". So its often better to deactivate the user which will let the data remain while not taking up any licenses anymore.

Kim,

Documents created by a user will be left in the system when their account is deactivated. Did you want to remove them for some reason?
