We needed to reinstall Confluence and have a new server ID, so we need a new license.

I was hoping we could get a new license that would replace the existing one, without paying $10 again.  The current license doesn't work with the new server ID.

The license is not tied to a specific server id if it is a paid license, it only used internally for tracking, see this thread https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Server-id-changed-in-the-update-7-1-8-gt-...

You should still be able to just copy/paste the license key and use it on your new server.

That's good to know.   We'll try it again.  Maybe a copy error.  It's appears to be working.  Now we just have some configurations to do.
