Hi, i am looking for a solution to the following problem.
Since I have not found anything after my previous research and am not sure where to ask this question, i am asking it here.
Is there a way to link sub-process diagrams from different Confluence (Cloud) pages to an overall process diagram? We use Gliffy, but are open to alternatives. If Gliffy can already do this, we at least don't know how. We are also open to completely different solutions as long as we can mitigate the described problem of maintaining two separate descriptions for the process flow.
We usually have a Confluence page (with a Gliffy) that describes a sub-process. Such a sub-process can have one or more beginnings or ends. These beginnings and ends refer to other sub-processes (Pages). The pages are therefore linked to each other and build on each other.
The problem is that we lack a complete overview of the process flow. As we already maintain the sub-processes in Gliffy, we want to avoid manually maintaining a diagram for the overall process in parallel.
Ideally the system (maybe plugins etc.) would automatically combine the sub-processes and their links into a higher-level overview diagram where you can visualize the process flow. As there are many sub-processes (and pages) involved and changes can often occur, we refrain from maintaining it "twice".
Any advice or hint on how to tackle this problem in Confluence would be appreciated.
Hi @Vitalij Frank !
Currently, you could link to the subprocess using a hyperlink in Gliffy. You can add this link on either the shape indicating the subprocess, or on specific text in the shape. More in our documentation here:
https://help.gliffy.com/confluence/Content/GliffyCommon/Linking-text.htm
But, it sounds like you want to visually display the subprocess diagram within your Gliffy diagram? Is that correct? I'd love to learn more. You can reach me via email at skaufman@perforce.com — I'd be happy to chat!

Hello @Samie Kaufman - Your Gal at Gliffy
thanks for your reply. I have attached a sketch to better demonstrate the case. I will reach out to you.
