Repost from Want to add contents in Confluence page using REST API
I'm having the same issue when wanting to update the page without changing the existing contents/data. And haven't seen a solution for this issue yet.
Same Example:
"My confluence page have content: Hello World!
I want to update page contents and finally it would be like:
Hello World!
New data
The Confluence API : https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/rest/#api-api-content-id-put replaces the entire contents of the page.
How can I just add new contents into the page keeping it's existing content using REST API?"
Hi @Ian Hunter ,
you should simply get existing page content, append the new content and then update the whole page using rest api.
This hould be the trick.
Fabio
The problem I've found with that is that I'll end up with a `line 65: /usr/bin/curl: Argument list too long` error.
