I have a user that needs to access two Confluence instances. TenantA uses Atlassian Access and SSO with AzureAD. TenantB uses normal confluence user accounts.
This user has a UPN that matches user@TenantB.com but has an email alias for user@tenantA.com.
User@tenantB.com is used to log in to TenantB as expected. Is it possible to use this email/UPN to log in to TenantA as well?
Is it possible to solve this problem without changing the UPN for the user?
(Using user@tenantA.com to log in to TenantA doesn't work since the user doesn't have this address as UPN)
You can use the same email address in multiple instances, it just has to be in the user directory.
However, this case seems more complex, and you've not explained what the UPN is (A friend works for the United Pallet Network here, a good source of cheap wood for us) or how you're using it?
Sorry, I'm so used to the abbreviation that I forget that others might not know it. UPN = User Principal Name in Active Directory. It is the identifier used from Azure Active Directory.

Ok, great. So is the login used in both Confluences?

I've invited the user to TenantA using the user@tenantB.com-address. I'm currently awaiting feedback from the user to see if it is working.
It would be password login as we can't use the TenantB-domain for SSO as that breaks their access to that instance.

Thanks, the user has confirmed that they can log in to both instances using the same adress.
