Using self-hosted Confluence w/o user as domain members

BILL COLLIER October 24, 2017

We want to use self-hosted Confluence.

We have Windows Small Business Server but use it more like a peer-to-peer network. So each PC's properties/identity usually shows them as a member of "Workgroup" as opposed to being a member of our domain.

While I'd like to tighten up our processes and security and really get everyone logged in to the domain, I'm not sure how quickly that will happen.

Can we use self-hosted Confluence with this configuration?

Yes, you can use Confluence internal directory to create users, see https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-user-directories-229838212.html for more information.
