Using a confluence database to power FAQs page

Carlos Seguín Lozano November 4, 2024

Hi everybody,

is it possible to use a confluence page as a front for a confluence database? or is it just tables and cards?

I need to build an extensive FAQ space, where each question has around 8 attributes, many of them master data, such as category, customer, section etc...

I was wondering if I could build sort of a web-app DB+form+page within Confluence.

Thanks!

Hi @Carlos Seguín Lozano and welcome to the Community.

As a source of inspiration on what you can do ... look at the K15t's YouTube video channel - here's the link to search results

Why K15t? They developed Databases app which was subsequently acquired by Atlassian and a part of Confluence.

Also, you may wanna take a look at Guided Pathways by Kolekti. If I understand you use-case, this might work for actual FAQ or a similar form if you want to take the reader thru a sequence of issues within the given FAQ framework.

I began using Databases as a, well, a database for our Learning courses. Basically, Course Name, date it went live, and then columns with pages used in that course + pages' data such as created, last updated, etc. As you can include all sorts of page details, there must be something there too.

Found this video helpful, but not quite I was looking for:

I think there's margin for Confluence to provide something more advanced. Just look at Airtable Interfaces and forms
