Users need to send feedback or updates

Kingsley Peters May 21, 2022

Hi,

When my users view content on Space, I would like for them to leave a note, feedback or recommend changes. The Note they leave on a particular space should be notified to the admin. It can either be a via email notification or a page/space where all the feedback is sent.

What options to I have to achieve this?

Regards,

Kingsley

Hi @Kingsley Peters ,

in my opinion the best way to do that is using inline comments (https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/comment-on-pages-and-blog-posts/) and tag user that should be notified about that.

By default, page creator and all other watchers will be notified about the comment but the space admin could be not in that list.

Hi @Kingsley Peters , when talking about users, do you mean licensed Confluence users or are you talking about JSM Customers visiting a Knowledge Base (Confluence Space) linked to a JSM project?

If you are watching the page or space, you'll be notified of any changes, including a page or inline comment.

Inline comments are an excellent way to leave notes about specific content on a page.  Highlight the section you want to comment on and hit the comment button (speech bubble icon) that appears.

Thank you Nic,

Unfortunately inline comments does not work within Panels. All of the content is within Panels.

What are you seeing when you try to use inline comments in panels?

I ask because they're working fine for me.

Kingsley Peters May 23, 2022

Hi Nic,

The content is placed in "Panel Macro" and "Aura Panel" tables created within the space. Both of these Macros do not allow/support inline comments. You can add an inline comment in the edit mode, but they are not visible when you publish. And inline comments are not available in published mode as well.

Kingsley
