User rights in sub spaces

Sven Wagner September 20, 2018

Hi guys,

I am new to Confluence and I have a short question, that is for me not clear right now from the documentation. At work we have a confluence wiki with spaces for every team. Now we need a sub space for some documentation that is interesting for our team and for external workers. Is it possible to creat users that have only read and write access to this sub space? We do not want to make a complete new space, because the knowledge in this sub space should be reachable from the space of the team as well.

Greetings

Sven

hi @Sven Wagner,

Welcome to the community.

I think the simple solution is using permission and restrictions. you can create user groups and grant them permission in space level/Page level. so that the pages you wish to share with others can be shared only granting them view permission.

hope this helps 😊
