Upload images from iPad directly to Confluence

Marcel Keßler July 17, 2018

Some coworkers are often on the go and take different pictures on our construction sites with their iPad. They will later include those pictures in Diary-like Page in Confluence.

Sadly the Confluence Server App is not that handy. Pasting pictures is time consuming and fiddly.

So my coworkers asked me if there is any way to sync photos quick and easy into confluence. Not needed pictures could be deleted, sorted and managed on the full Webinterface at their workstation. Just an easy way to sync the images with confluence. Sharing images with the confluence app is also not possible.

Do you know any way to do so? Some Photo App which can sync via Webdav on iOS? Or is some kind of `iPad <> Dropbox <> Confluence`-Setup the only way to go? (Normally we don't use DropBox at our office and this setups feels wonky and future unstable to me.)

Thanks!

Yes, WebDav seems a pretty good idea to quickly upload pictures to pages.

Did you tried connecting to Confluence using it? For IPad this app should be working - https://itunes.apple.com/pl/app/webdav-navigator/id382551345
