Update project's description based on updated field in confluence

table in confluence:

xxx project : 1st row,customer

 

description in jira

xxx project

description : 1st row,customer

 

Is there a way to update the project descirption when I change the table value in confluence

 

table change in conf. :

xxx project : 2nd row,customer

 

automatically go to jira xxx project and change the 1st row to 2nd row value

You might want to check out the following discussion/comment regarding extracting data from Confluence page: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Re-Confluence-automation-Send-email-with-title-based-o/qaq-p/2893527/comment-id/329553#M329553

With that, you can probably extract the information you need and then update/inject that into Jira issue description.

You might need to play around with it, but generally, that should be a way to go.

Could you maybe provide a screenshot of the part you're referring to as 'project description'?

There are project attributes/details such as key, URL, and category, but natively, there's no description field for the project itself.
