Update notifications in Confluence - question

Hi All,

I am a space administrator and I have 400 members accessed my space. Our space has more than 70 pages.

There are many pages which are regularly updated and I'd like to reach that most users get email notifications whenever a page is updated.

I know that there is a Watcher feature but adding more than 200 users for each page is very cumbersome!

My first question: the watching function is in hierarchy? I mean if I add a user to a parent page as a watcher, will the user get notification emails whenever sg. is updated in a child page???

In this case I would add the users as a watcher to the Space Home.

Question2: can I add groups to the watcher /notification list?

Can you please help?

Thanks in advance!

Rumi

Hi Rumi,

You can "make" them watch the space.

But there is no daily digest so every single time a change happens they will receive an email.

Therefore they will ignore the notifications.

It is not possible to add groups to the watchers, but it is a feature request: CONF-20118. Please vote for it if you are interested in this feature.

I don't think waching a page also affect all the child pages.
