Update confluence page via rest API

Hi,

I am trying to update a confluence wiki page via the rest api. I have no problem retrieving the contents of the page using the GET request. However when I try to update the page using the PUT request, I get a 200 response, but nothing gets updated.  I even tried passing the latest ancestor as part of my payload, but it didn't work. 

My PUT request goes like: https://<Domain name>/rest/api/content/<content id>

Any ideas
