Unknown Macro: html when used in Sidebar

Ali Cheaito May 22, 2018

Hello,

We're running Confluence Server 6.5 with the Confluence HTML Macros enabled. The macro works within a confluence page, rendering html and JavaScript just fine.  However, when using the macro in the Sidebar (through Space Look and Feel), we receive the error:

Unknown macro: {html}

The HTML macro documentation seem to indicate that this should work. I used the same example provided in the docs and got the error above. Any idea what might be going wrong?

Thanks

Hi @Ali Cheaito

it works for me with Confluence 6.7 (so, I think, it should also work with Confluence 6.5).

I activated the html-macro (not the html-xhtml-macro):

and inserted the example code like that at the space configuration:

This is what I can see in the sidebar:

@Thomas Schlegel - This was it! We enabled the html (legacy) in test and it worked.  Thanks!
