Unable to save a page

Pierpaolo Rebecchi October 9, 2019

We have radom problems in saving document. When we click on save we have randomly the following error
"Unable to communicate with server. Saving is not possible at the moment".

But if we repeat the operation then from time to time saving works and document is saved

Synchonicity is off. We do not use it.

the following exception:

Hello Pierpaolo,

Thanks for taking the time to relay details around your issue and including the log output from when you’re having the issue. From the looks of the problem, it seems like you’re having an issue with the database and a duplicate entry or key problem. With this said, I would be interested to know if your problem exists within a staging instance (a copy of the database).

Please see if you’re able to recreate the issue within a staging instance and let us know. Make sure you copy the database over from production once you have a staging instance running. More information on a staging instance may be found at Create a staging environment for upgrading Confluence. (If the issue is a database issue then a staging instance will help us test resolution).

If you are still having the problem, please let us know what database application you’re using (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres) along with the version as well.

Please let us know how testing on staging plays out.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
