From quite some time ago, we had included within our DNS, a record to verify our domain with Atlassian. As an Admin, I recently commenced with the process to "Level up your security at <our domain>". I was asked to add a verification record. I did so, and our domain passed verification. I removed the old verification record, and was told that our domain could not be verified, so I added it back in.
Now we have two verification records, which does not seem normal. What is happening?

It's certainly possible for your domain to have two verification records. For example, this can happen if you verified a domain to manage accounts and also added the domain as an email domain.
It's perfectly normal, and you should leave those records as long as you plan to use those services.
