Two footers are being created for pages with Themebuilder

Ramsay Mayka September 10, 2014

I am running a trial with Themebuilder (editor version 5.0.8, engine version 1.0.7-beta5) for Confluence (version 5.5.3)

When I enable Themebuilder for a space, the footer does not display properly

It appears that two footers are being created that overlap. Here is what the offending html code looks like

<div id="footer">
                  <section class="footer-body">
                     <p class="license license-eval">
                        <strong> EVALUATION LICENSE </strong>

                     </p>
                     <ul id="poweredby">
                        <li class="noprint"><a href="https://www.adaptavist.com/">Adaptavist ThemeBuilder</a>

   </body>
</html>

This occurs with the default skin.

I want to demo the functionality of Themebuilder, but this is the kind of glaring error that is hard to talk around.

Ramsay

@Ramsay Mayka

Our support team will be getting back to you shortly with a fuller answer for this. In the meantime we have found that the issue with a duplicate footer is happening because the default Confluence layout has changed the location of its own footer within the HTML. We will be updating the ThemeBuilder ROOT skin to allow for this change as soon as possible.

Thanks for the quick response. I also got an email from another person at Adaptavisit with a temporary work around.

This was answered in more detail through Adaptavist support, and a patch was released in ThemeBuilder version 5.1.0 https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.adaptavist.confluence.themes.sitebuilder/versions

Hi Ramsay,

I'm going to look into this for you. Can I confirm that it is happening with the ROOT skin in ThemeBuilder?

Theme builder is an addon not made by atlassian http://www.adaptavist.com/w/products-plugins/premium/themebuilder/

You may want to reach out to adaptavist support for help on why the double footer is being displayed.
