Hi Atlassian Community,
I’m currently facing a design issue with the Confluence toolbar. It seems that the toolbar doesn’t have a min-width
specified, so when I resize the browser window to a smaller width, the design appears broken.
I’d like to know where I can get help to resolve this issue or whether this is a known bug. Is there a specific support channel or documentation that addresses such design concerns?
I appreciate any guidance or recommendations!
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi @Eunji Roh ,
I've just tested this (on Brave browser) and it seems like the minimum width is 700px. Whenever I resize the window, and I try to resize the divider, it automatically pushes it back to 700px and I cannot make it any smaller.
Can you share which browser you're using?
When it comes to known issues, you can take a look at jira.atlassian.com (JAC). Specifically, here are open known Bugs when it comes to Confluence: project=CONFCLOUD AND type=Bug AND statusCategory!=Done
Apart from JAC, you can always reach out to Atlassian Support with any problems you are experiencing. In case they can replicate issue(s) they'll probably create a new Bug on the JAC and share the link with you.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tom
Hi @Kristian Klima
Thanks for your detailed response and for pointing me towards the JAC for known bugs!
I'm using Chrome, so I wonder if this issue is specific to Chrome browsers. I'll do some additional testing on other browsers to confirm if the behavior is consistent.
Either way, I appreciate your help in explaining the process for reporting bugs and finding more information on JAC. Thanks again for your guidance!
Cheers,
Eunji Roh

Hi @Eunji Roh
I think the root cause of the issue are GUI elements of the specific apps that you're using.
Each app adds its own bits and then it gets crowded. Obviously, the Confluence GUI cannot be programmed to handle the unknown unknowns in terms of which apps, their number, their specific UI elements...
I see you have Aura (or Karma/Spacecraft), Scroll Documents and a couple of other apps.
You can resize the left-hand part of your window with the navigation tree and make it narrow.
BTW, due to my apps, I'm experiencing this in some views :)
