We want to set up private spaces for our clients, who do not hold a Confluence license, to be able to log-in with a password and access information we'll put in their space/pages.
We would share the URL, they would access with a password, and it would be a confidential space.
Is that possible with Confluence?

Yes it is; you can use Guest licenses (which are free, with up to 5 per paid user) to do this.
