Hi,

There is a bug in Anchor feature in confluence. The confluence generates a random string while copying and pasting the anchor.

Steps to reproduce :

1. Create an anchor link.

2. Submit a name, eg:- "test"

3. Update the page.

4. Now again, edit the page.

5. Copy the anchor.

6. Paste it somewhere in the page.

7. Click on the new anchor "edit" to edit anchor link.

Bug : In step 7, you will see a random string auto generated.

Expected Behaviour : The new anchor should have the same name as the anchor that was originally used. i.e. "test"

Hi @achandrawanshi , welcome to the Community. I did the quick test in my instance and I am not seeing this issue. I would suggest that you open a ticket with the Atlassian support directly so that they might login and have a look at what is going on in your instance.

Hi @achandrawanshi

I could not reproduce it as well.
I tested the entire process in Firefox, Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge Browser and it works perfectly for me.

Please contact Atlassian Support directly: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

Best regards. :)
