The Confluence Macro Browser shows two Activity Stream Macros

owahler October 15, 2012

We are currently in the proces of setting up an Confluence instance, which is linked to our existing JIRA instance.

Now, when opening the Macro browser while creating/editing a page in Confluence, it shows two Activity Stream Macros/Gadgets.

While the first one (the left one in the image attached) seems to come from JIRA (at least that's what the Gadget URL says), the second one seems to come with Confluence. Unfortunately, the JIRA gadget doesn't allow to limit it's scope to a Confluence Space, while the Confluence gadget/macro doesn't include Crucible and Fisheye activities.

Does anyone know of how to

  • ideally get a combined macro (with all filter optins and stream sources available in one macro),
  • make the Space restriction global filter available in the JIRA Gadget,
  • rename them in order to have a less confusing user experience,
  • de-activate the macros/gadgets individually?

Thanks in advance,

Oliver

Hi Oliver, I've experienced the same situation in our Confluence/Jira set-up. The Confluence activity stream is probably not so helpful within Confluence itself, so it may be possible to deactivate it from the Admin options (system plugins). However, this question on activity streams suggests that you can configure them to include data from both Jira and Confluence: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/88988/how-to-disable-confluence-streams-in-jira-activity-stream-gadget Regards, Charles
