Hello,
I am trying to use task in confluence.
I assigned task to people from a page.
Those people marked the task as complete in their profile however the completion of these tasks is not reflected in the original page.
Anyone having the same issue ?
Is there anything I am doing wrong or missing ?
Thanks for your answers
Hi @ooctobre , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I've just tried it and seems to be working fine, checking task completion on page and from the task page.
Maybe this was a temporary glitch.
Or you need to wait a bit for the state of the task to update as it is not instant (in my case took about 2s, required page refresh, also my Confluence is for testing with only 3 users)
Hello,
I made a new test and now it's working fine for new tasks.
However those task I created earlier are still not working, when I mark the task as completed in the profile it does not save this status. After refresh of the page the task is back to uncomplete.
Maybe this was a temporary glitch during the task creation. It might be interresting to note that I created those task using a page template I created myself. In this template the task are pre-created and marked as complete as default. The combinaison of task + page template might be the reason why I had this glitch
Testing again with my page template it is now working fine, I can't reproduce the issue.

That would be my next guess, to check if those tasks are not wrapped in some elements ^^
Good to hear it works!

Hello,
I have the problem again, but this time it is persistant and reproducible.
I identified that if the user assigned to the task do not have 'edit' right to the page where the task is created, then the task is not updated at all.
This was not the case a few weeks ago before last update of confluence.
