Tags, references, backlinks in Confluence?

I've been using labels and these help adding 'references' to the page, but what about sections in the page, or specific words.

Does Confluence have a way to keep track of these?  For example, if I have a section in a page and I want to add a '#tag' to that section?  Is there a way to do this? Or a workaround?

What I did was open the section that I wanted to use for the backlink in another tab. Then I copied the url for it and pasted it in as the link I  wanted to use. Hope this helps.

In your opinion, is the use of backlinks effective? I recently looked a video from a renowned marketer. He talked about What are Backlinks? and I thought that this could be a really fast method of promotion, which is not yet very popular but very effective. What do you think about it?
