Hi,
I have created a summary page in which a single table from various pages are shown using the excerpt include macro. When I try to export that summary page, the pdf page is void. How can I resolve this issue? I need to print out that summary page.
PS: It has nothing to do with authorization and we use Scroll PDF Exporter for Confluence
Thanks.
Kind regards.
Hi @FA - thanks for the post. When you mention that the pdf page is void when exporting, did this mean that no content was included in the generated PDF or did the export attempt produce an error?
In general, Excerpted content should be included in PDF exports generated by our app, Scroll PDF Exporter. To help us investigate this further it would be great if you could provide an XML export for your example pages (both the page including the Excerpt and the exported page) that reproduce this issue - you can create a ticket here with this content. We can then investigate this further.
Cheers, Thomas (K15t)
Hi @Thomas Rough (K15t) ,
thanks for your reply.
No content was included in the generated PDF.
I have made a summary page, in which many tables are extracted using the Macro Table Excerpt include. That summary page is void when exporting with PDF Exporter for Confluence without showing any error.
We recently switched to confluence cloud and before that we could create the PDF in the Atlassian Confluence 7.12.0 version.
I will create the ticket.
Regards
FA

Hi @FA ,
The Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app is our add-on. As for now export to pdf is not working with the Table Excerpt Include macro for Cloud.
We have this improvement in our backlog, and I've added your vote&link to this thread to the ticket. We'll get back here once the feature is implemented.

@Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ Any update on the print to PDF for Table Excerpt Include backlog item?

Hi @Andrew Crile ,
Unfortunately this ticket is still not implemented, but I've added one more vote (customer request) to it - we'll get to this thread once the feature is released.

Hi @FA @Andrew Crile ,
The fix was released - it may take 1-2 days to the new version of the app to get to all the Cloud instances, but now our macros are expected to be exported into pdf when you export the whole page as well.

Hi @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ . I just installed the trial version of Table Filter and Charts for Confluence today (V 1.2.195-AC). I am still encountering the issue where my Table Except is not showing on the exported PDF. Can you please advise on how I can get this fix? Thanks!

Hi @LeeSanne Guthrie
It seems that at the moment there are some issues with Confluence Cloud in general.
The same concerns export functions as well: sometimes we get empty files, sometimes the export can't be done at all due to the unexpected session error. We've tested the case on several instances using different accounts.
Recently everything has been working as expected.

@Katerina Rudkovskaya _Stiltsoft_
It seems that things are back to normal now. I Have a couple of Table Exceprt include on a page and it is still not adding those sections when I export to PDF or Export with Scroll PDF Exporter. Data looks find on the page. I have never been successful yet on seeing this data on any PDF.
The version I am running for Table Filer and Charts for Confluence is 1.2.196-AC. It appears to me to the most current version. I am currently running the Evaluation license.
Any assistance you could provide would be great,
Thanks!

Export to PDF is not working for now as there's some issue on the Confluence side with the improved PDF export recently released, which helped to export pages with data inside macros. It seems that Atlassian rolled back to the old PDF experience. We've raised the ticket with them to get more details on this case and hope for their soonest reply and the issue fixing.

Hi @LeeSanne Guthrie
Please notice that Atlassian has confirmed they indeed have rolled back to the old version of exporting:
On November 14, 2022, we rolled back the Confluence PDF export feature to its previous implementation. We understand the rollback will impact some marketplace apps that depend on Confluence PDF export to include app data embedded in Pages. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we address the issue.
We will post an additional changelog entry when we are ready to resume the rollout of the new export
