Strike through formatting gets lost after find action

We are using Confluence Version : 5.9.5. We see some bug with formatting here.

Steps to reproduce :

1. Create a page
2. Enter some text (say, test) in first line
3. Enter SAME text  (say, test) in second line and apply strike through
4. Now CTRL + F to find the text "test".
5. While finding the last instance of the word, it removes all formatting like strikethrough, font color etc of the last match of the word.

Other details :

This problem occurs only in Internet Explorer. It works fine in Google Chrome.

Hi,

it works on my side with Confluence 5.10.7 and IE.

But there is another strange thing in this version: while searching, it adds a new line between the two lines...

But I doubt, that this error will be fixed, Confluence 5.9 reaches end of life in November 2017. I would advice to use Chrome, if possible.

But the problem exists in version 6.3.1.

We are trying to create a ticket at Atlassian to report this bug.

But it is not allowingg us to create saying our user doesn't have the 'Assign Issues' permissions.

Can anyone help?
