Smart links in blog don't display when embedded in page

John Felleman January 19, 2025

I have created a Confluence blog post that contains smartlinks. When viewing the post directly it displays as requested for both inline and card styles. However, when I embed the blog in a Confluence page using the /blog macro, it just shows up as a long unformatted URL. I have tried switching between full and excerpted display in the macro options. It makes no difference.

Has anyone else enountered this. Better yet, does anyone know how to make it work?

Here is an example for the URL:
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7282366472637587456/?updateEntityUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afs_updateV2%3A%28urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7282366472637587456%2CFEED_DETAIL%2CEMPTY%2CDEFAULT%2Cfalse%29
