Smaller icon for embedded PDF

When embedding PDFs into Confluence is it possible for to just have an icon or link rather than the big preview box that it inserts? I have a long article and the big preview boxes make reading it harder. I can't figure out how to do this.

Sounds to me like you want to use the attachments macro rather than the PDF preview macro.

You should do something like:

  1. Create the page you want to contain the attachments
  2. Attach the files you need
  3. In the end of the page body include the attachments macro ( you do this by writing {attachments}
