I'm having a very hard time putting 2 buttons next to each other - in line. This seems like a super basic need, but nothing works. I've tried 3 separate plugins now and none of them do it. The only one I've found that is close is the Content Formatting Macros for Confluence and they force such crazy margin or padding that I'm wasting 40% of my vertical space.
Can anyone help with this? We shouldn't have to use tables or section partitions for this. It should simply be that macros can be made to sit next to each other. Basic stuff.
Have you tried this add-on
I looked at this and it pretty much basically solves your requirement!!

Yes that is the one I suggested earlier.

I get no new macros when this is installed. No Button and no Button Group macros.
The install seems to error, then says try again. When I do, it succeeds but then no macros appear.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same exact behavior each time.
This is Cloud, so there really isn't more I think I can do. Seems a buggy plugin.

Are these Screenshots enough apart from words!
The Plugin is the same which I referred to earier!!
Install it again if you were not able to install first time
Thanks,

Thanks Pramodh, very much...
I did finally get it working, but I had to install it 3 times and then revoke the free trial and re-instantiate the free trial and then I got the macros.
To my dismay, I found that it did the same thing as another plugin I had found that also does button groups and buttons, called Content Formatting Macros for Confluence.
It adds a ridiculous amount of padding or margin below the group. It's awful that this is happening because either of these would work great if it didn't hijack my space.
:( still looking.
Thanks for the help!

Hi @Chris Purser , I don't have any direct experience with doing this. But looking at the images of the following addon seems to illustrate side by side - buttons-for-confluence . Did you try that one?
