Show Epic title and progress bar on Confluence page

Michael Rosenthal April 27, 2021

I would like to be able to track several epics on a confluence page. Right now I can past the URL to an epic onto a confluence page and it shows me the title and status (done, in progress, etc). I would really like to see the nifty status bar the shows up on the jira side.

Hi @Michael Rosenthal ,

The Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app supports the Jira Issues macro and allows you to create Jira dashboards right in Confluence.

For example, at first you make a pivot table for your issues counting how many of them have this or that status. The next step is to visualize this table. When the output of your Jira Issues macro changes, your graph changes as well and you get a real-time dashboard.

The only difference from our step-by-step guides for you as a Cloud Confluence user is that you'll need to use the Table Toolbox macro to nest several macros due to the new Cloud editor limitations. Other steps will be the same.

I can also suggest booking a live demo from our team - we'll be glad to show you some interesting cases.

Hi @Michael Rosenthal and @Alexander Bondarev ,

We provide a commercial app called Dashboard Hub for Confluence (there's also the Jira version) that allows you to display information from Jira (and several other products like Bitbucket, Opsgenie, Statuspage...) and share that information with users, even if they don't have access to Jira. See a live demo here:

Hope this helps!

Hi, @Michael Rosenthal !

Welcome to the Community!

It is seems to me that will be better to use Jira Dashboard to your needs.

Thanks for your response Alexander. I looked at the Jira Dashboards and at first glance, I didn't see the type of dashboard I was looking for. Do you have a recommendation to look at?

Also, I am trying to build a page which stakeholders and business partners can visit. I want to add other written information and context about the project to the page. Also, they typically don't have access to the Jira boards.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

-Michael

@Michael Rosenthal , I understand your business case.

But if Business partnees don't have access to Jira they can't see any Jira-data on Confluence pages... It will be visible just for people that have access to Jira.

So you should export Jira-data and then visualise it in Confluence through the extra apps, for example, Table Filter and Charts for Confluence, like @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ told.

@Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ , maybe you and your teammates have any resolution to this case? We love your app, but we sometimes have a problem with no-access to Jira.

@Alexander Bondarev , unfortunately we don't have any solution to the no-access to Jira.

Our dashboards use the standard Jira Issues macro for the data source - as usual, managers have access to the full package of Atlassian products, but they prefer to use Confluence for their reports and not to switch between Confluence and Jira to find something.

@Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ , thanks for quick response!

@Michael Rosenthal , I checked Cloud's Dashboard out-of-box gadgets, agree with you.

Have tried to use Epic Report (View and understand the epic report )?

For example, you can add a link on Confluence page to Jira Epic Report, where people can analyse everything(of course, all business partners should have an access to Jira).
