Hi Community,
Following this article:
https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/share-content-externally-with-public-links/
We want to be able to share single pages with external parties, which works as described.
However, switching on this feature allows all spaces to share their pages. Thats something we don't want. Is there an easy way to configure all existing spaces to disallow that feature instead of needed to switch it off in every single space? For new spaces there is a default option described, but not for existing spaces.
Best,
Daniel
@Daniel Eiternick This page (https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/set-up-and-manage-public-links/) explains how to view and manage which spaces allow public links.
Yes, thats exactly my issue. That page describes how to switch it on, and then all of the existing spaces have the feature activated. To switch them off, an admin has to manually switch them off one by one. There is a default you can configure, also described in your link, to disallow new spaces from sharing, but there is no mass-off-switch, only the deactivation of the feature compleatly.
The issue is that we have many many spaces. And i would like the feature in at most two or three. Instead of being able to just switch it on in those 3, our admins need to disable a few hundreds, havn't counted. This seems almost like a security issue tbh.

@Daniel Eiternick Further down on the page, there is a section on changing the settings in bulk. This is only available on Premium, but maybe you could:
If you later create a new space that you want to allow public links on, you can just turn it on for that space.
