See version comments in watching emails

Anneli S November 13, 2023

We recently moved to the Cloud from Server, and we really liked the feature that for emails generated when someone edited a page, it included the version comment if one was added. It really enabled us to highlight to watchers what was changed or why it was changed (as well as being useful for the page history). The emails generated from watching a page don't include that "Version Comment" we had on Server but it would be great to have this available in Cloud. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere or is this something I'd need to add as a feature request?

Hi @Anneli S

With the Confluence changes implemented with change 983, the version comment in no longer contained in the sent e-mails.

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/changelog/#CHANGE-983

So, if you want it back on the roadmap, you should raise a feature request.

Thanks Marc. That is helpful to know. I've since found someone else has raised this as a feature request so I've added my vote to that. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-76069
