When I type in the search field, auto-complete suggests appropriate pages, but when I submit the search there are never any results found.
Results are also not returned in the API
I've found many places issues that suggest re-indexing, but we do not have that option, just a box that says "Temporarily, currently only sysadmin can change indexing language and reindex all documents. Contact Atlassian Support if you need help."
We do not get support because we're on the free plan.
Any other suggestions?

Can you think of any other ways to solve search issues that don't involve a re-index?
