SSO Bypass for Service Accounts

Doyen Blair December 5, 2017

Hello, we have recently implemented SSO for Confluence.

We have issues with regards to accounts that have been set up within Confluence for service reasons and API calls.

There are no AD accounts associated with these IDs.  Is there any way that we can bypass the SSO login so that users can login as said service user using ID and PW?

Thanks.

Hi Doyen,

similar to Lars's Question - it would be interesting how you implemented "SSO for Confluence". If you use a 3rd party plugin like ours (SAML Single Sign on (SSO) for Confluence) then we can give you some advice on that.

In other words there are many things to achieve SSO that you could mean - to possibly help you, we'd need more info.

Cheers,
Christian

There might be many ways of achieving this. We offer fallback to username/password and IP filtering.

Are you using SAML/Kerberos? Perhaps the vendor has the same possibilities?
