Retrieving confluence space from former employee

Hello, 

I'm being asked how we will retrieve the information from a Confluence account of a person who has left our company. Is there a clear way to do this on Confluence Cloud? Appears that changing ownership of a space isn't possible by the end-user, as there is no way for us to access the database.

Is the Confluence site the space is on owned by the company?  Are you the Confluence site admin?  If you answered both yes you can use the following instructions to access the space and add additional individuals to it https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/assign-space-permissions/

If the site the Confluence space is on is not owned by the company then you will not be able to get access to it.  You could work with the former employee to see if they would export it so you could import it or use the following method to import it. https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/import-a-confluence-cloud-space/
