I have a confluence page where I accidentally edited the plantuml and saved. I used the free plantuml plugin. I am trying to restore the page (which had nothing but the plantuml sequence diagram).
However resoring the page does not restore the plantuml diagram. If i do a comparison of pages I see no text (as there was nothing on the page) but it does show data changes:-
Filename:
Data:
Width:
Compressed:
revision:
There is a lot of information (what appears to be base64) text in the data section. Can i use this to obtain the original plantuml?
Basically how do I restore the entire page, including the plantuml plugin data that was created?
restore page seems to just do the text on the page and not the plugins used.
@Reza The page will not restore the plugin information as that is stored in the plugins db / location. You would need to see if the plugin has versioning and restore the diagram there.
Hi,
Thanks for the response. Can I access the plugins db? how would I even access it? The plugin itself has no versioning of the diagrams from what I can tell.
But from what you have said conflunce itself won't hold a record of the plugins running on the page, so in effect this is out of scope of confluence itself?

Reza,
It is out of scope for Confluence. It is up to the App designer to control the content of their app. I would suggest reaching out to the app designer to see if they provide any versioning and if they do not if they will be offering it.
