Resolved comments appearing in confluence mobile to anonymous users

Zed Tan August 31, 2016

Hi guys,

I'm using Confluence for our public-facing software documentation, and we've been using the comments function quite liberally.

It works well on desktop, but we just found out that resolved comments appear in full (thread and all) for anonymous users on Confluence mobile.

2 solutions i've found in your docs:

  1. turn off confluence mobile completely;
  2. use jquery to turn off comments entirely for anonymous users: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-hide-page-tools-and-comments-section-for-anonymous-users-in-confluence-697139365.html.

Both are not ideal — is there any other way to hide all comments on confluence mobile?

Thanks

There is another issue with resolved inline comments on confluence:

They turn up in searches for anonymous users.

This is not acceptable for a feature that is supposed to help with an editorial process.
