Renaming and moving around pages while not breaking existing links??

Eric Blair May 19, 2013

We have to move around and rename some pages, but we don;t want to break existing links. I have looked around and I see that if you have used releatibe Links, it can be done, but we have never used relative links. Is there an alternative?

If Relative Links is the only way around this, how does the synatx work, if for example this is my space URL: http://confluence/display/space/subspace

Thanks!

Confluence says links don't break when you move the page, but ours does. How can we fix it?

Eric,

I'm not sure if this helps, but I think relative links are the ones you'd add if you used Ctrl+K to open the Link page and then used the Recently Viewed option.

The links that break are the ones where you copy and paste the URL into the Web Link field.

Cheers.
