We have 10 registered users for Confluence and for Jira. One of them no longer needs to use Confluence and a new user needs to be added. Removed one user from the Confluence group and added one to it. Total in the group is still 10, but whenever anyone wants to edit something in Confluence we get an error message saying we have exceeded the number of users. How to fix this?
Hello Rogier,
From your Global Permissions page, do you have any other groups listed, such as confluence-administrators, that has Can Use permissions? If you only removed the user from one Confluence group, it could be that they have access to Confluence via another group.
In addition, you can check at Users & Groups > Users, and list all users there.
Lastly, there's a workaround at How to get a list of active users counting towards the Confluence license using a database query that can tell you which users are still being counted.
Kind regards,
Shannon
Thanks Shannon, The user had can use rights for both Jira and Confluence. Think it is solved now.
