Remove a user from confluence in Confluence Free version.

Nirusha June 6, 2021

Hi,

I am new to confluence and I just set up a team with pages. In there I shared a page with an external person via the Share button and adding their email address.

I did not realise that they can see all pages in the Free version of Confluence and I now need to remove that person from the page till I can re-organise the pages.

How do I do this? Sorry if this is a very rookie question, but I could not find an answer elsewhere.

thanks!

Hi @Nirusha welcome to the Atlassian community.

Please be informed, only an admin can remove a user once added. Hence, of you have admin rights, then follow these steps (if you aren't the confluence admin), then contact him/her to remove the user:

To remove a user:

  1. Log in to admin.atlassian.com

  2. From your organization, go to Directory > Users.

  3. Find a user, then select their avatar or Show details.
  4. From the 3 dot icon at the top of the page, select Remove user.

  5. A. More actions - select the 3 dot icon at the top of the page and then select Remove user.

Stay safe and stay healthy.
