Relational Databases

I am starting to develop some simple databases in Confluence and there is some functionality that I am struggling to find.  In particular, I am using the 'Entry Link' field type to display information from one database into another database and to then associate some new data with those entries.

The use case is a Master Requirements Catalogue (MRC) Database that contains all of the business requirements at a HIGH, MID and DETAILED level that we do not want altering (i.e. it is locked down) where I want to reference the Requirement ID in a separate Traceability Database that we will need users to update without impacting on the referenced MRC data.  The Traceability Database will have the links to Confluence Pages and Jira KANBANs where the evidence is contained that the requirements are captured in designs and build.

I am then creating another Test database for all of the testing events, outcomes, defects and final reports using the Requirement ID as the index field. This will in turn link to Confluence Test plans, activities and reports and into Jira bug and defect logs.

How can I ensure that all of the linked databases are updated when a new requirement is added to the MRC or will I need to do this manually across all linked DB?

Unfortunately Confluence databases are (at this moment) tables with links, which collect information from pages.  For some database applications this is enough.

However it seems your use case requires more than is available.
