I am exploring confluence for the first time. I am trying to create the tasks and assign the same to the specific team member and track it for closure. There will be multiple tasks which belongs to different projects for each member. To be specific looking for something similar to Smartsheets which help to have all the tasks created at one place and track it for the status and add updates. Any suggestions on the same.

Thank You.

Hi @Mukunda Kashyap and welcome to Community.

While Confluence does allow you to assign tasks, the functionality is rather basic. For example, a task can only be open/to-do or closed/done. You may find this comparison of Confluence and Jira helpful.

Trello or Jira are more suited to task tracking and sound like they would be a better fit for your need to track multiple tasks across several projects for a team.
