Recurrent copy of confluence space

mimacomFlowable Sysadmin Team June 3, 2021

Hi

I'm testing the trial version of the CLI for confluence. Installed the plugin on our test instance, and the CLI client on my Linux box. My goal is to create a script that will be added to crontab and will take care of cloning a Space in ConfluenceA to ConfluenceB.

I've taken a look at the howtos and examples and the script seems pretty straightforward, but I have a few questions:

- The bash script will run in a docker image with the CLI client installed. Is it enough to copy the folder created by the installation wizard (~/ACLI) to the Docker image?

- I've seen this folder includes clear text credentials and I would like to hide this. Will the client accept an ofuscated password as parameter?

- Is there an easy way to automate this process without the need of an external agent? like doing some automation in Confluence itself

Thanks in advance.
