Hi All,
Is it possible to publish a site for all members of the company without a license for readers?
We want to share the documentation with all employees, but we're not sure if they need a confluence user license to view the site.

Carlos Quintana
Hey @Carlos Giovanny Quintana Corredor
Another option might be to use my team's app Scroll Viewport. With it, you can publish a site with the content of one or more of your spaces and then set up authentication so only people from your company can access it.
Hi Matt,
I really appreciate it.
Something we want to avoid is having more expenses.
There is no point in paying to share our own information internally.
these kinds of things are what make us think of other options, but thank you for your proposal.

Carlos Quintana

Sure thing!
And yes, we certainly like to build apps to fill gaps in Confluence but it's not fun if you expect those gaps should already be covered without the need for an app.
The good news is that you at least wouldn't have to buy licenses for everyone in your company for them to be able to read things. The bad news, 💰.
I hope you find a great solution for your team!

You can make a Confluence anonymously accessible so that people can read it without logging in and taking up a licence
This can be done space by space too, it's not unusual to see organisations who run an intranet for everyone in a couple of Confluence spaces, and then give teams and divisions their own areas that they have to log in to use them.

Hi Nic,
Thanks for your prompt response,
Could you please give me the steps about how to allow access to our employees without taking up a Licence?
I don't want to make any mistakes about it.
This should be only available for Cafetosoftware employees.

Carlos Quintana

You can't block people out unless you know who they are, or you have a way of ring-fencing your systems to keep them out based on location.
So, on Cloud, yes, you could let the world, not just your employees, see spaces without logging in. But if you need to limit it to just your employees, then you either need to identify them by having them log in, or upgrade to Cloud premium, so you can whitelist any places your people work from.
