Problems to connect Slack with Confluence (Cloud)

Lino Liebmann October 29, 2020

I have the problem not to be able to connect Slack with Confluence (Cloud). After clicking on "Log in" and after that on "Connect account" in the appearing browser Window, I receive an error notice shown by URL: https://confluence-chats-integr.services.atlassian.com/api/slack/users/login?source=confluence-link-confluence-account&jwt=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiI1ZTQyOTQ2YTRkMmEwMDBjOTExMzdkYjkiLCJpc3MiOiJiMjMxMmE5OS02YzNiLTNlY2MtYmJkMS1iNDMzNThmOWM2ODEiLCJjb250ZXh0Ijp7fSwiZXhwIjoxNjAzOTc3MzQ0LCJpYXQiOjE2MDM5NzY0NDR9.2lnubKxLLwqubiFECuNsNM-SQ0GlkogbOawgFgHuEKI&chatToken=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpc3MiOiJUOVBGS0JEQ0giLCJpYXQiOjE2MDM5NjY3MjQsImV4cCI6MTYwMzk3NzUyNCwiYXVkIjpb...

The connection with Jira did not produce any issues.

With kind regards

Lino

Hi Lino,

What browser are you using? Is cross-site tracking enabled?

Safari, Chrome, and Firefox all have abilities to disable "cross-site tracking." We need to cross-site tracking to be enabled in order to use the cookies that support this login process. Safari disables cross-site tracking by default; Chrome and Firefox do not, but one can disable them in the settings. For this Confluence login process to work, you'll want to make sure cross-site tracking is enabled.
