Problem with Insert Office Word macro when creating template

Richard Pace March 23, 2020

I'm editing a new template from my Confluence space settings under content-controls.  I'm trying to use the Insert Office Word macro and after filling in the page location and selecting the word document to insert (yes, the word document is attached to a Confluence page in my space), nothing happens after I press the Insert button.   I've tried using Firefox and Chrome browsers with same results (no results).  Chrome console appears to have more information than Firefox, so I've attached a picture of the space with the Chrome console information:

It turns out that the Insert Office Word macro is not what I wanted to do in this template.   I think using sections is what I was after.  Somehow I thought I would be able to import a word document already formatted, but that's not the case.   That's why it says "I'm new here" next to my name!!!

I believe this is a bug - CONFCLOUD-68979 Try attaching the file onto the page, rather than call it from another page and see if that works

Thanks for the reply.   From the Template Editor I don't see an option to attach a file.  So I'm not sure how to accomplish what you ask.
