As you all know, Confluence is runing version 8.5.16. There is a notice internally that the AWS PostGRESQL version that is currently running (V12) has to be upgraded to 16 or higher as V12 is going end of support.

However,  confuence 8.5.16 does not support PostGRESQL 16 - it supports only V12, V13, V14.

Can we upgrade to PostGRESQL V14? Please confirm.

Hi @Nithya Kamalanthan

Although there shouldn't be much difference between 14 and 16, I would test it first.

This is a good opportunity to contact Atlassian support and ask what are the issues you might face when using a different DB version.

Its AWS really pushing 16 instead of 14? There is no way that you can ask for 14?

Can you share the link to the notification they've sent you?

Regards
