Our firm is working with a software development company that maintains project documentation in their own JIRA and Confluence sites on Atlassian. The project is nearing an end and the company wants to take down the sites but we want to keep the documentation accessible. Is it possible to migrate the sites out of the companies JIRA and Confluence sites to our own within Atlassian? Currently, we do not have a separate Atlassian account.
Yes - all you need to do is take a backup of their stuff, then you can restore that on your own (Either buy new Cloud systems to host it, or run your own servers)
You could even be more cheeky - if they don't need the sites, maybe you could take ownership of them?
Not sure I understand. I was asking if we can clone or migrate the sites within Atlassian. If doing that still entails taking a backup and then restoring to a new site in Atlassian can you direct me to documentation that describes how one can do that?

Sorry, I drifted off-point and was not too clear.
You can not just clone or migrate within Cloud, you have to extract and re-load it all in a target system.
