Possibility to renew login token

Bruce Schlueter November 28, 2012

Hi all,

we are setting up our Confluence without a LDAP connection so all users are stored within Confluence. After setting up the user Confluence automatically sends an invitation with a token that is valid for 24hours. Now it has happened that a number of users have not logged in and therefore the token is no longer valid. Is there a possibility to renew this token as soon as a user contacts us or do we need to set up a password and send this?

Thanks,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

For these cases, you will need to reset their password and send it to them. It is possible to reset the token so it cannot be used again in the future:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Adding+and+Inviting+Users#AddingandInvitingUsers-Resettingtheinvitationlink

However, this will not alow them to reuse the reset token.

Cheers,

Gary
